Welcome to the Targeting Archery Club website.
The club was born out of our parent company, Targeting Archery which was established in 2015 by Karen Dales. That business was based around Karen's experience archery coaching, where she runs regular beginners' Courses and "Come and shoot sessions". However, people that completed the course or who came to the sessions wanted an actual archery club locally to join. So in 2017 Karen registered an new archery club with Archery/GB in the local area which is the Targeting Archery Club who's website you are visiting now.
The club uses the same venue as the original business and has an outdoor range where we can shoot up to 100yds/90M now we have Archery/GB approval (August 2017). This is a lovely venue at the back of St. Phillip's Church overlooking open farmland.
When the weather isn't suitable for outdoor shooting or we lose the light for evening shooting, the Church kindly allows us to use the Church Hall for indoor shooting. The hall is limited in size but we can still shoot up to 10yds. This is an ideal size for juniors and novices and allows for practicing techniques for the more experience archer. However, larger premises continue to be investigated to see if we can locate something a little more suitable for a club. Watch this space for any news! If you know of a possible suitable venue then please get in touch.
The club shoots on Tuesday evenings from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
We also shoot on Saturday mornings from 10:00am to midday.
